TigerNet confirmed Thursday evening that the offensive coordinator
brandon rueter had been fired and that Swinney had targeted and then hired TCU offensive coordinator Garrett Riley, the younger brother of USC head coach Lincoln Riley.
Clemson’s Twitter and national media were buzzing after hearing the latest news from the workout moves.

Dabo really lost to SC once in nearly a decade and saw you disrespecting him with those fake final polls putting FSU over Clemson and said: pic.twitter.com/z6wSDbxBbz

I love Garrett Riley’s rental. Getting blood from outside the program will rejuvenate it. Let’s go. #clemson

TCU played in the National Championship 3 days ago. I can’t believe how fast Clemson pulled it off.

current Clemson players love my IG story about firing streeter…clearly they wanted that change too. it’s good that they are eager to change.

For Texas native Garrett Riley, turning down A&M for Clemson likely means he doesn’t see the Aggies heading in the right direction.
Plus, it’s much easier to win in the ACC, and Wizards love working for Dabo.

Clemson fires OC/QB coach brandon rueter. “I am responsible for our people and our results. Although we took a step forward offensively in 2022 after evaluating our offense extensively, I felt it was in the best interests of our program to seek new leadership in this position. Dabo Swinney

Clemson targets TCU OC and reigning Broyles Award winner Garrett Riley as its next OC, sources say @SINow. The deal is not finalized, but it would be a huge hire for Dabo Swinney and the Tigers.
The team parted ways with OC Brandon Streeter earlier today.

If we were to take a meaningful transfer tonight on top of this news, you’d have to take me down. TCU has some guys I wouldn’t mind seeing in Clemson badges.

Talked with the old #Clemson Eric Mac Lain, OL analyst and current ACC Network, who had this to say about the hiring of Garrett Riley… “That’s exactly what #Clemson need to make. A massive hiring that sent a shock wave https://t.co/Z42ixniVJi

I see frustration over what Clemson is doing at OC and what Miami… isn’t doing. I feel it too. We have to talk about it tomorrow.

Dabo hiring Garrett Riley is a big deal. He’s someone who can create the easy yards that Clemson has left in the field for the past two years.
