The actress hanged herself in her co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Mohammed Khan’s makeup room. The actor’s custody has been extended for 14 days after he was arrested for allegedly encouraging the suicide of Tunisha Sharma. The 27-year-old actor was arrested by Valiv police in Palghar district on December 26.
Now, on January 2, Sheezan Khan’s attorney, Adv. Shailendra Mishra and her sisters Falak Naaz, Shafaq Naaz and her mother, spoke out for the first time after facing several allegations. They held a press conference and spoke to the media about the case.
SHEEZAN KHAN’S SISTERS DENY LOVE JIHAD ALLEGATIONS
Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on December 24.. The 20-year-old actress’ funeral took place on December 27. On Monday morning, Sheezan’s mother and sisters – actresses Shafaq Naaz and Falaq Naaz – held a press conference in Mumbai where they addressed the allegations against the actor. Addressing the accusations from Tunisha’s family, Sheezan’s family told the media that they were baseless and that the claims of love for jihad and black magic were sad.
Sheezan’s lawyer said: “Tunisha was very happy with the time she spent with Sheezan’s family. Pawan Sharma, who claimed to be Tunisha’s maternal uncle, was in fact her manager, who was fired by her. All these allegations were also made by this one. “Called uncle only. Tunisha fired him because she was unhappy with his intervention.”
The family also addressed allegations of love jihad made by Tunisha’s mother. Falaq Naaz said, “Tunisha was like my sister. I met her on the sets of a shoot in Ladakh. Since then, I acted like an older sister to her. We could never see her in trouble. All this talk about hijab, dargah is baseless. To follow a religion is our personal choice. It’s our personal space. We never force anyone. It’s not even our right. People say we have it forced to wear the hijab, but it’s a picture of a pull.” For the uninitiated, a photo of Tunisha wearing the hijab was circulating on the internet a few days ago. Many have claimed it as evidence of love jihad claims.
She added: “Why are you stuck in religion? You should talk about mental health.”
Shafaq added: “It was also claimed that Tunisha started speaking Urdu. To this, Shafaz said: ‘Kisi language se kya lena dena. We live in India. So accepting a certain language or religion proves nothing. This is a very bad assumption. Religion is very personal and we will never force anyone.

If your child is tortured on sets like this, are you just going to sit down and talk on the phone? Hamare bacche ko thappad maare aur hum aise baithe rahenge maa hone ke naate? me so she can talk to me about it. She used to eat at my house, stay with me. So when this incident happened, why did she wait? Why didn’t she come to my house and slap Sheezan? Tunisha to take this step?
She added, “One more thing, Vanita lost her only child and her lawyer was busy taking power of attorney. You lost a child! Your mission should only be to find out why your child made this decision. She also claimed that Tunisha informed her that Sheezan used to use drugs on sets. There have been changes in Tunisha’s behavior. Sheezan forced her to follow Islam. SHEEZAN KHAN’S CUSTODY EXTENDED
After a magistrate’s court extended actor Sheezan Khan’s custody by one day on December 29, the actor’s custody has been extended for 14 days. The actor’s lawyers will not ask for bail. In recent days, police had complained that Sheezan had not cooperated with the investigation. Police said in court that the actor did not reveal his Google ID and email password. In his defense, police told the court that Sheezan pretended to have forgotten the passwords. However, the star’s attorney said that since Sheezan’s cellphone is with the police, the password can be cracked by any expert.
Tunisha Sharma, who starred in the television series Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul alongside Sheezan Khan, was found clinging to make-up on the show’s set near Vasai on December 24.
