NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. He is clearly familiar with the body camera footage released showing him being escorted off a Miami flight by police and the backlash that accompanied it.
The footage begins with officers boarding American Airlines Flight 1228 fromMiami in Los Angeles, and they made their way to Beckham’s first-class seat as the other passengers watched.
Officers asked Beckham if he was okay. At first, law enforcement seemed to agree with Beckham. They just thought he was sleeping soundly.

However, flight attendants said they repeatedly asked him to wake up and put on his seatbelt, saying he did not respond.
Eventually the plane returned to the gate and disembarked, and Beckham was escorted off the plane by police while the rest of the passengers waited to reboard.

Beckham was apparently alluding to having words with a man unhappy to leave the plane.
Beckham can be heard calling the passenger “fat” and suggesting he would eat a cheese platter when he got off the plane.
“I know who I am. Period. Everything else and opinions really don’t matter to me. Have a blessed day and enjoy the [cheese emoji] plank!”
Beckham also suggested that the body camera footage had been edited to paint him in a bad light.

“At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department were dispatched to a medical emergency on an American Airlines flight,” police told NFL Network in a statement. The flight crew was concerned about a passenger (Mr. Odell Beckham).
As they tried to wake him up to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to lose consciousness before they left, fearing that Mr Beckham was seriously ill and his condition would worsen during the 5 hour flight planned. , attendants called the police and fire department. When the officers arrived, the flight crew repeatedly asked Mr. Beckham to step out of the aircraft, which he refused.
