New software updates for Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch Series improve the Galaxy Camera experience - Samsung Global Newsroom

Paired with a Galaxy smartphone, the latest wearable software updates give users new ways to capture the world as they hear and see it.

Samsung Electronics today announced new software updates for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch series, improving content capture for Galaxy users everywhere. Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones have long delivered the best photography and videography experiences, allowing users to create, capture and share their best moments. Now, when paired with the latest wearable devices, the already powerful Galaxy Camera is further enhanced with 360° Audio Recording, the unique feature that brings immersive sound to video content, as well as an upgraded controller camera that allows you to zoom in and zoom out remotely. Easier. These software updates reflect Samsung’s continued commitment to delivering the latest experiences on existing devices.

360° audio recording: capture the world as you hear it

The new 360° audio recording feature1 allows users to capture audio on video precisely as they intend. Twinning Galaxy Buds2 Pro With a Galaxy smartphone, anyone can film like a pro and capture realistic, high-quality audio for video without the need for bulky professional equipment anytime, anywhere. The feature picks up sound from 360 degrees using a microphone in each ear cup, placing viewers in the center of a roaring festival crowd or next to a bubbling stream in the middle of a forest. Users can plug in connected headphones and play the video on their device or social media channel to hear realistic, immersive sounds that mimic an in-person experience.

360° Audio Recording is the first feature in the Galaxy lineup to take advantage of LE Audio, a new advanced Bluetooth audio standard. This new technology brought Better audio quality as well as improved latency and battery life. In addition to providing better quality music, LE Audio also has expands the spectrum of audio experiences to deliver more complex and rich sound that can be shared with others. Now, LE Audio brings binaural recording to Galaxy Buds2 Pro – taking advantage of left and right mics at the same time. When pairing the Buds2 Pro with a Galaxy Z Flip4 or Z Fold4users are attracted to the moment, enjoying high-quality stereo sound as well as high-quality video.

Camera controller: Frame the perfect shot right Fof your wrist

Photography and videography with Galaxy smartphones are all about maintaining creative control in any situation. One example is the Galaxy Watch’s Camera Controller app, which lets users control their phone’s camera right from their wrist. A new update soon available on the Galaxy5 Watch and Watch4 series adds zoom capabilities to the camera controller,2 further expanding the Galaxy Camera experience with Galaxy Smartphone and Galaxy Watch connectivity. Now users can remotely control their phone’s camera zoom with a tap of the watch face or a turn of the rotating bezel Perfect for taking group selfies or group shots from a distance and eliminating the need to walk back and forth to the camera to frame the perfect shot.

The new 360-degree audio recording feature will be gradually released to Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 via software updates starting today.1 The updated camera controller feature will be available on Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4, and Watch4 Classic from February.2 These new wearable features should provide more powerful synergies with new Galaxy Camera capabilities Delivering new and unique experiences.

To enable the feature, go to the Samsung Camera app > tap Camera settings after selecting video mode > tap Advanced video options > enable 360° audio recording.
