The Philadelphia Eagles released its second official injury report on Thursday ahead of its Week 18 game against the New York Giants.
It was the Eagles’ first real practice of the week after hosting a virtual tour on Wednesday.
The big news is that Jalen Hurts has once again been listed under LIMITED ENTRY.
So, it doesn’t seem like it’s that simple for Hurts to be 100% ready to play. That being said, everything points to Hurts taking the first team reps into practice this week. Hurts’ teammates have indicated they believe he is on the right track to get dressed.
The Eagles still have one last practice on Friday. If Hurts upgrades to Full Go and is listed with no game status, well, he’s clearly going to play. We’ll see if that’s the case.
Three other players have been listed under LIMITED ATTENDANCE for reasons unrelated to rest: Miles Sanders, Shaun Bradley and Janarius Robinson.
Sanders is thinking about playing against the Giants, but his workload could be limited as he suffers from a knee injury that required him to wear a brace last week.
Bradley apparently managed to make it to Sunday.
Robinson, who is generally healthy and hasn’t played in a regular season in his career, is suddenly struggling with an ankle injury. Robinson is a prime candidate to go to injured reserve to free up a roster spot. The Eagles are going to have to create space for future moves with CJ Gardner-Johnson and Robert Quinn eligible to be activated from IR. The Eagles are also off temporary practice squad elevations when it comes to Brett Kern, so they need to understand their punter situation.
Three players have been listed under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Josh Sweat, Lane Johnson and Avonte Maddox.
They will all be on track to miss Sunday’s game. Sweat’s injury leaves the Eagles thinner in defense, although Quinn might be ready to get back on the roster and fill in some snaps.
Zech McPherson was promoted to FULL PARTICIPATION after missing Wednesday due to illness.
He will be ready to go on Sunday.

NEW YORK GIANTS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)
As for the possibility of the Giants resting, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News had this to say:
What I just saw in practice confirms to me that the Giants will probably rest several starters against. Eagles. Will cover it in today’s Daily News
— Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) January 5, 2023
So there is that.
As for the Giants’ actual injury report, there are two changes from Wednesday’s version.
The first change is that Dexter Lawrence is fully leveled after resting before. No surprise there.
The second change is starting center Jon Feliciano moving from DNP to limited. Looks like he might have a chance to play…assuming the Giants want to use him.
Azeez Ojulari and Leonard Williams missed practice for the second day in a row. They are on track to miss Sunday’s game. Ojulari ranks second on the Giants in sacks, while Williams ranks fifth. New York thinks it has lost at least two starters on its defensive line.
Starting cornerback Adoree ‘Jackson, who hasn’t played since Week 11, has been restricted again.
