
Apple is raising the price of out-of-warranty battery replacements for everyone iPhone models older than the iPhone 14 later this year, the company announcement on its website (via Reddit). Apple is also raising the prices of iPad and Mac battery replacement.
Apple says that starting March 1, 2023, the price of out-of-warranty battery replacements for all models of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series, as well as older iPhone models, will increase by $20. Currently, Apple charges $69 for battery replacement on most iPhone models, according to an estimate calculator on the Company Website.
The price increase will only affect customers who do not have AppleCare or AppleCare+ for their devices. With AppleCare+, customers pay $0 for battery replacement once the battery condition has decreased by more than 80%.
Update: Apple is also raising the price of out-of-warranty battery replacements for Mac and the iPad. Macbook Air battery replacement will increase $30 and MacBook Pro battery prices of $50. New iPad models will see their own prices increase by $20. These price changes will take effect on March 1, 2023.
