
National signing day is there with college footballThe early signing period starts on Wednesday and lasts until Friday. High school recruits can sign their National Letters of Intent to lock them into colleges of their choice.
It’s already been a busy start to the week, with two five-star rookies in the 2023 ESPN 300 reversing their commitments. Strategist Dante Moore discarded Oregon in favor of UCLAwhile offensive tackle Kadyn’s Overseer rejected Iowa to Alabama. There could still be a few surprises on Wednesday.
This is the sixth year the NCAA has held an early signing period for college football rookies, and it has become the dominant session, with most schools getting the majority of their class during this time. If a prospect does not sign a National Letter of Intent this week, the next National Signing Day for this cycle begins February 1. 1, 2023.

SEC Network will broadcast hourly updates beginning at 9 a.m. ET and will host a three-hour “SEC Now: Signing Day Special” at noon.
ACC Network will host “ACC Huddle: Signing Day Special” from 3-6:30 p.m.

Two five-star rookies do seismic flips
Just before the first signing period, two of the top 10 signings decided to reverse their commitments. Monday, quarterback Dante Mooreranked No. 3 in the class, disengaged from Oregon and announced his commitment to UCLA.
The next day, offensive tackle Kadyn’s Overseer, the no. 10 recruits in total, reversed of State Iowa join Alabama.
