The early signing period begins on Wednesday with plenty of recruiting excitement generated ahead of the big day. As the nature of the process evolves, there is more intrigue and big news to come. We take a look at some of the storylines in the Southeast as we make predictions about what might happen at the end of the day on December 1st. 21.
THREE FOUR STAR ENGAGEMENT PREDICTIONS
Outside of the Rivals100, there are four uncommitted four-stars in the South East who have yet to go public with their commitment, and each would be a great addition to any program. Which teams are vying for which players?
CC Daniel Harris: After disengaging from Georgia on Nov. 14, Harris looked like a lock for Penn State, but Georgia may have gotten back into the running. This is another battle that will go on until the last second.
Prediction: Georgia
*****
WR English Karmello: A unique commitment to AuburnEnglish was strongly recruited by Kentucky and Michigan. The desire to play in the SEC could bring him to Kentucky, but the relationships forged with Michigan staff seem to be stronger.
Prediction: Michigan
*****
RB Jamarion Wilcox: Dec. 8, Wilcox pulled out a top four from Auburn, ohio stateKentucky and Clemson. Clemson apparently left Wilcox to pursue Jamarius Haynes and kobe rhythm out of the transfer portal. After Marc Flecher left the Buckeyes’ class, OSU didn’t add another cap. Off the Plains, there has been little talk of Wilcox since new personnel took over. A home coach with Kentucky Jay Boulware was posted on Dec. 18 through social media.
Prediction: Kentucky

ALABAMA AND GEORGIA WILL FIGHT UNTIL THE END
The early signing period begins with Alabama and Georgia holding the first two places in the Recruitment Ranking of Rival Teams. Both classes are already fantastic with each team set to add more future firepower this week, but which SEC power will come out with the best class of 2023?
Georgia awaits two key engagements from their four-star defensive tackle Jordan Room and five-star defensive end Damon Wilson. Room a Florida in the running but is seen as a UGA skinny while Wilson is also considering ohio state with the Bulldogs a slight favorite.
Alabama is poised for a gigantic shutdown if all the pieces come together. The biggest room to watch is five stars Iowa offensive tackle engagement Kadyn’s Overseer. If Proctor turns around, it could seal Crimson Tide’s spot atop the 2023 throne. Also, be on the lookout for five-star corners. Desmond RicksFour stars Damari Brown and duo in state James Smith and Qua Russaw.

JOHNATHAN HUGHLEY COULD RETURN TO AUBURN OR COLORADO
For months, Hughley has been at the forefront of flip candidates. Georgia maintained a strong relationship with the state perspective, but Auburn managed to get him to come to campus on several occasions. Parts of the coaching staff may have changed, but are there still enough leftovers to possibly push Hughley away?
Adding more smoke to the potential flip fire, the four-star took an official for Colorado during the weekend. Could the new Colorado coach Deion Sander Succeed in one of the biggest flips in the country on Wednesday?

MIAMI TO SIGN ACC TOP CLASS
Is there a hotter team in the home stretch of this recruiting cycle than Miami? December brought six new commitments highlighted by four four-star and five-star attacking tackles Samson Okunlola. As awesome as the class is, Clemson is only two places behind the canes at no. 8 at the national level. Can the Tigers finish in the ACC Premier Class? No.
Miami swept one Florida on Sunday evening, land a four-star traffic jam Mark Flecher.. Whether Damari Brown doesn’t ride with the tide, expect the four-star cornerback to stay local with Miami. Brown traveled to Miami over the weekend with his older brother Davontea security of UCF which can be found in the transfer portal.
Louisville four-star linebacker commitment Stanquan Clark is a possible flip candidate, although a low percentage of possibility, but anything can happen.
As for Clemson, the rest of his recruiting class appears to come from the transfer portal.

BEWARE OF FLIPS IN THE SOUTHEAST
Alabama is committed Tony Mitchell made a weekend visit to Texas A&M and Auburn has been after him, but the Crimson Tide are confident he’ll sign on Wednesday. Auburn also tackles Florida State defensive end commitment Keldric Faulk. With the possibility of playing in the state and in the SEC, that could be the most likely turnaround on Wednesday, but that’s no guarantee.
A flip watch without mentioning Cedric Baxter just wouldn’t feel right. All reports have it closed with Texasbut after Florida missed Marc Flecher, one can only wonder how these conversations are going. The State of Florida had Baxter hired at one point and hired him as an official; something to watch.
