NFL Playoff Scenarios for Week 16: Bengals, Chargers and Ravens looking to hit the field

featured image

Three more weeks NFL Regular season and playoff races are heated as well as home-field advantage races throughout the playoffs and the all-important first round for every conference. The AFC and NFC have two teams with more than a 20% chance of usurping the current wildcard teams and the AFC South is closing in on a draw, but that’s not all that’s at stake at the moment. 16 week course.

the Philadelphia Eagles are in position to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC this week, but the availability of Jalen Hurts against Dallas — and perhaps in the long run — is now in question. The Eagles are still very likely to clinch the pass, but their odds drop by around 6% if they lose to the cowboys Saturday. But that’s not the only ripple effect of Hurts’ uncertainty. The Eagles play the giants in Week 18, and not picking up the bye until the final week of the regular season could see Philadelphia having to play to win this week and potentially upset things in the race for NFC wildcards.

As for the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Invoices are the current favorites at 59.1%, followed by Chiefs at 37.3 percent. the bengals are the third most likely team to drop out at 3.6%. It’s likely to be a two-team race, and with the Bills and Chiefs both favored by around double digits this weekend, we’re unlikely to see too much drama. If we do, however, and one of Bear or sea hawks withdrawing the upset, the odds of winning the bye would fluctuate considerably.

Six teams are in the Week 16 playoffs: the AFC Bills and Chiefs and the Eagles, vikings, 49ers and Cowboys in the NFC. Three more AFC teams and one other NFC team can clinch berths this week, and the Bills and Eagles also have milestones in play.

Cincinnati clinches a playoff berth with a win at New England on Saturday or a Jets loss or draw vs. Jacksonville Thursday.

the Chargers clinch a playoff berth with a win at Indianapolis on Monday and a combination of losses or ties by the Raiders, patriotsjets and/or dolphins.

the crows are in one of 10 scenarios that involve wins or ties by them and wins, losses or ties by up to seven other teams. There is even a scenario in which Baltimore enters regardless of its result if the Patriots and the Jets lose, the BrownsRaiders and Titans lose or tie, and the Chargers win.

Giants clinch playoff berth at Minnesota on Saturday and losses by two of three DetroitSeattle and Washington.

Bills clinch AFC East with win at Chicago on Saturday or loss to Dolphins Packers on Sunday.

The Eagles clinch the NFC East title with a win or tie in Dallas on Saturday and clinch the NFC home field advantage and a first-round bye with a win or tie and a loss or tie by the Vikings.

However, as mentioned above, the Eagles’ injury situation could have ripple effects throughout the NFC playoff run. The AFC gives us a huge showdown on Thursday Night Football between the Jaguars and Jets, two away teams watching right now, but don’t discount the Bengals at Patriots as this game has significant playoff implications. and AFC North. After scanning the slate, there are 10 games in Week 16 that will move the needle for one or both teams involved.
