The Garden State has great vantage points to watch the annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Rivers Casino which depart at 6 p.m. and midnight on the Delaware River from the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia.
New Jersey Battleship Memorial and Museum, 100 Clinton St., Camden, will host fireworks viewing parties for both shows from the deck of the retired battleship. General admission is $10. There will be music, food, a cash bar, the chance to fire off gun salutes and, of course, “front row” viewing of the fireworks. Manhattan has several New Year’s Eve fireworks scheduled for the New Year that can be seen from the shores of North Jersey, including the annual show on the Statue of Liberty. There are also several New Year’s Eve cruise packages departing from ports in New Jersey.
♦ Morris County First Night, Morristown
Morris County First Night is the annual New Year’s celebration of arts and culture without alcohol or substances. From 4:45 p.m. to 12:05 a.m. on December 1. On the 31st, it will present more than 70 performances in 21 venues, a film festival and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. and midnight. A wristband to access all events costs $30. Ocean City will host first night OCNJ, his Annual non-alcohol and substance-free New Year’s arts and culture celebration from 4:45 p.m. to 12:05 a.m. 31, with more than 70 shows and activities at 22 venues, culminating in a fireworks display on the beach at the 5th street. Six Flags Great Adventure will feature fireworks as part of its “Holiday in the Park” celebration in Jackson.sixflags.com
