Two Asian friends were racially assaulted at a California In-N-Out burger joint by a colleague who asked if either of them had gay sex with Kim Jong-un.

Arine Gabrielle Kim and her friend, Elliot, were recording themselves having dinner at an In-N-Out in San Ramon – 34 miles east of San Francisco on Christmas Eve – when an unidentified man walked up approached them and said, “Are you filming yourself eating? You’re queer homosexuals.

Kim and Elliot were recording each other trying off-menu items for her TikTok channel at the time.

Shocked, the two guests couldn’t help but laugh in the heat of the action. The two friends, however, did not expect the man to approach them again and ask if they were Japanese or Korean.

Elliot told the assailant he was Korean. Are you Kim Jong Unis the boyfriend? Do you have gay sex with him? the man then asked Elliot.

Elliot was asked to stop talking by Kim after he dared to ask the suspect to go to dinner with him

The couple looked at the camera while the man was still in the burger

After the tense exchange, Kim repeatedly asked Elliot to stop talking to the stranger in an effort to defuse the situation. She then looks at the camera and says, “It’s not in the name of holiday cheer.”

After playfully replying that he only went to “second base” with the North Korean dictator, Elliot then dares to ask the man if he could take him out to dinner.

It was then that Kim tried to defuse any tension stemming from the exchange between the two men, repeatedly telling her friend to “stop it.”

The unidentified man responded by threatening to spit in their faces.

The two friends tried to move on and mind their own business, but the man later reappeared, calling himself a “slave master” and describing Elliot as “a filipino asshole” before challenging him to to go out.

It then appears that the In-N-Out staff came to see Kim and her friend, who said, “It’s not in the name of holiday cheer.”

San Ramon Police Chief Denton Carlson tweeted a photo of the potential suspect on Christmas Day after the man was flagged for similar behavior he displayed a day earlier at the In-N-Joint. Out.

Kim later said KRON4 that the man harassed other customers from different minority groups after entering the establishment to collect his order. She added that the man also repeatedly gestured towards her and her friend while smoking cigarettes outside.

Frightened, the two men were among the last to leave the In-N-Out site before it closed. They asked one of the joint employees to check if the man was hiding outside before running to their car.

“My friend and I were a little shaken up after the incident, but I’m just grateful that we’re both safe and out of harm’s way,” Kim told KRON4.
