Giants injury report Wednesday: CB Adoree’ Jackson returns to practice
Adoree ‘Jackson, out since Week 11 with an MCL sprain, returned to practice Wednesday for the New York Giants. Head coach Brian Daboll said before practice that Jackson would “do some stuff.” He was officially listed as a participant in the limited practice.
Jackson, the Giants’ top cornerback, has been out of the lineup since being injured while returning a punt against the Detroit Lions.
Daboll of course did not guarantee that Jackson would play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Wednesday, however, is Jackson’s first practice since his injury.

Left tackle Andrew Thomas, who usually delivers a clean, error-free game, recalled when he was criticized by the head coach.
“I think that was the Chicago game. I had a mental mistake – I went the wrong way. It could have been a big play, and it was on me,” he said. “That’s what you expect from your boss, to hold you accountable.”
“He’s in a different area right now.”
Isaiah Hodgins earns the trust of New York Giants coaches and teammates | USA today
“He’s been very consistent for us. He did a great job moving the sticks. He’s a little bigger than a guy. And he does a good job of making contested takes, making takes in the middle of the field – that kind of deal,” Slayton said. But as he showed the other day, he hit (Vikings cornerback) Patrick Peterson with a double-hit, and he also backed up the field a bit. Sometimes he tends to overestimate his speed a bit, but he can run. So he’s been a great addition to our team and I’m glad to have him.

Landon Collins: How the NY Giants player played the waiting game to win a role | The record
If the Giants beat the Colts (4-10-1), they will return to the playoffs. Perhaps it is fate that this Sunday at MetLife Stadium will be Collins’ first home game since leaving after the 2018 season.
“It feels like an eternity,” Collins said with a smile.
Giants S Julian Love against the Colts: “We all know what Nick Foles is capable of” | SNY.tv
We all know what Nick Foles is capable of and you should be prepared for it. He’s a guy who’s been there, who’s accomplished great things. He’s a guy you can’t really sleep on. He has the experience you need to be on your game for sure,” said safety Julian Love.
The Giants are aware of their position in the playoffs | New York Post
With an 8-3-1 record in an NFL record 12 score-decided games, the Giants believe they can make winning plays.
“Once you get to the playoffs, the difficulty level of winning each of those games throughout the rounds only increases, and the chances of you blowing someone up decreases more and more,” said Slayton. The reality is that you are going to have to win close games to be successful throughout the playoffs. So I definitely think playing more of those helps throughout the season.
Giants passing offense resumed with Daniel Jones throwing to unlikely receiving trio | NJ.com
In seven games, the trio had 87 catches, 1,089 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Slayton has 28 catches for 478 yards and a touchdown since Week 10 and James, who didn’t even play offense in Week 10, has a team-high 30 catches for 302 yards and three touchdowns.
The 87 combined catches are 11th among NFL wide receiver trios since the Giants’ bye week. Dallas’ top three receivers have just one more in that span, and Philadelphia’s top three receivers have just two more. The seven touchdowns by the Giants’ top three receivers over the past seven weeks are tied for ninth with Buffalo and Cincinnati. The Eagles and sea hawks have the most with 11.

2023 NFL Mock Draft: Bryce Young goes to Houston Texans at No. 1. 1 | pfft
23. NEW YORK GIANTS: QB ANTHONY RICHARDSON, FL. Anthony Richardson goes to the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. This is not a question worth asking, in my opinion. The questions are how high and which team. Even with his current inconsistent accuracy (63.8% adjusted completion percentage), his athletic ability as a runner, and his incredible arm talent make it look like he won’t even last that long in order. If he does, I’d like to see a coach like Brian Daboll get the chance to mold him.

“I have to tell you one more story because that’s what will make the most sense,” Coughlin said. It was a great performance. I’m really proud of my team. They are a team with a 16-0 record, we know we can play with them. All that. The next morning at 5 a.m. I walk into my office and see the red light on the phone. A voice mail. I pick up the phone and it’s John Madden. He said, ‘Tom, I just wanted to call. Because I want you to know this is the greatest thing to happen to the NFL in the last 10 years. He said: ‘It’s the National Football League, we don’t play against our players. We have a responsibility to our fans to perform every day. You did. I am so proud to be part of it. I am so proud of what you have accomplished and what your team has accomplished. He said: “I’m very emotional right now. But I want you to know how I felt. I played it for my team at our next team meeting. It was moving. Very moving.”

Training diary: Jeff Saturday focused on the giants, not the head coach interview | Colts.com
On Wednesday, Saturday, he was asked what his pitch would be if he still plans to interview for the Colts head coaching job this offseason.
“Let me just tell you — my mind isn’t even there,” Saturday said. “I have the Giants, I’m way ahead of me. So I’m not even getting into the world of interviews at all. We’re just going to keep that – when it’s the end of the season, I’ll be happy response, but I don’t even think that way right now.”

So there was nothing that would have triggered the protocol yet.
