Fantasy Football Week 17 Quarterback Rankings: Can You Keep Rolling With Justin Fields?

Before we get to the Week 17 standings, let’s address some of the biggest questions facing Fantasy players at quarterback ahead of the Fantasy Semi-Finals, starting with a key injury to watch out for this week:

Is Justin Fields a risky start?

I don’t know really care Fields struggled with in Week 16 Invoices. What bothers me is the lack of quick production – he only had seven runs for 11 yards, and only three of those run attempts looked like they were engineered. The concern is that Fields injured his foot in Saturday’s game, admitted after the game that he couldn’t put all his weight on his foot. Fields also suffered an aggravation from his previous non-pitch shoulder injury so he’s pretty battered heading into week 17. The game is great as he torched the the Lions for 43 Fantasy points last time he faced them, but Fields relies on his rushing ability so much that it’s fair to wonder if you can trust him less than 100%, especially with a foot injury. I’ll be watching the non-training injury reports closely, but I certainly demoted Fields a bit in my original standings.

Is Gardner Minshew a must-start if he plays?

Jalen hurts pushes to play, and Nick Sirianni told reporters that Hurts will play if cleared. However, the Eagles only need to win one of their last two matches to secure number one. 1 seed, so I’m still quite skeptical about its disposal. Either way, I think an Eagles quarterback is worth starting this week, whether it’s Hurts or Minshew. Hurts is the best option, but Minshew played very well against the cowboys in Week 16, with even his two interceptions barely his fault – they were contested balls that Quez Watkins absolutely could have fallen with. The game against the Saints likely won’t give Minshew another 40 pass attempts, and it’s worth noting that the Eagles have only called 24 pass attempts in the first three quarters, so he’ll need to be effective. But I expect it to be, and I rate it as #1. 1 QB.

Are there any streamers worth using in the Championship?

Besides Minshew? I think there are some interesting options, although no one would please me. I have Daniel Jones as QB13 for this week and Mike White like QB14, although I could go back and forth on that one before the end of the week. What White has going for him is expected passing volume, as he’s attempted at least 44 passes in two of his three starts. the Jets like to run the ball when they can, but they’ve shown – when anyone but Zach Wilson is in the game, at least – they’re ready to put it in the air and in the hands of their best point guards. sea hawks award the 11th most fantasy points to quarterbacks so it’s a really good game – I’d feel even better if the Seahawks had Tyler Locket (main) back this week. Neither of these guys are a go-to Fantasy option, but I’d go with either, say, Derek Carr or Deshaun Watsonand if you need a Tua Tagovailoa replacement, they are better than Teddy Bridgewater.
