“I like the group. We have some shortcomings in terms of skill level and things we need to add to our group, but they are our team at the moment and I like the way they are performing. “

But is not getting back-to-back wins starting to get frustrating?

“Yeah,” Scott Laughton said.

• Tony DeAngelo returned to the roster after being out for the last three games of the Flyers’ four-game road trip.

“We were super, super close,” DeAngelo said Saturday morning. “Probably closer to her than I was to anyone else. Just a difficult loss for everyone. It was unexpected, so sad.”

DeAngelo is a local producer. After being traded to the Flyers in the offseason, he was able to enjoy daily visits with his grandmother at her South Philadelphia home in Packer Park.

“We told him everything, honestly,” an emotional DeAngelo said. If you’ve ever had any issues or anything you just needed to talk about, we told him.

“We all live in the same neighborhood. Every day after we finished here this summer, we used to have lunch every day. I would bring him his lunch or I would just bring my lunch over there and we would sit together. Just a lot of times individuals.”
